Shingles Contagious

A person who is infected with shingles may get constant head ache and fever. Sometimes it may also bring down the energy level and cause fatigue. If you have constant digestive problems then there are chances of the virus getting activated.

There may be a itching on a particular area where the rash will grow. This rash may develop into blisters which will be more painful and is a clear indication of the disease. Pain occurs only after

the rash forms, this pain is sometimes misinterpreted for gastro intestinal problems. The earlier stages of shingles will also have tingling sensation, severe skin pain, yellow color blisters and semi- circular scabs. Initially the rash is developed only on one side of the body. The rashes commonly occur on the upper body and inner surface of the eyes. These rashes look like strap shape, which covers half of the body.

The rashes turn red and get swelled and will burst in a few days time. These blisters as soon as they burst turn into sores, they slowly dry and fall in a few weeks time. There are times when there will be severe pain but no rashes before the shingles is evident and is often mistook for a normal pain. There will be constant itching and tingling sensation. Few experience discomfort and pain which is on the left side of the heart and is often misdiagnosed for heart attack.

The symptoms are not specific which in turn leads to wrong diagnosis. Sometimes there may be a pricking sensation in the skin. Shingles sometimes may have further symptoms depending upon the each individual. There may be an infection in the inner surface of the eyes too which may cause loss of vision. The advanced stage of shingles may also lead to hearing impairment.
